On today’s show, I was joined by Justin Mihaley. We discussed the dark and often not talked about side of competing, including drug use. We also discussed cortisol and stress including warning signs you are too stressed out and how to combat that.



Being born and raised in whats been tabbed the “Most Depressed City in America,” where my experience in Springfield, Ohio was nothing short of that label, I always knew I wanted to get out and make a difference in the world. I was always full of Passion, but what I was doing was lacking Purpose. There wasn’t any Pride in my life or my body of work. On June 6, 2013 after a stint of bad luck I went to my grandparents house and told them my intentions of changing my life. At the time, I had no idea what bodybuilding would entail; I was rather scrawny, I didn’t have a single bodybuilding conducive gene in my body, and I never knew I had the ability to inspire somebody. Now, almost three years since my journey has started I live the life I once highly sought after. I have the ability to continue to transform myself while helping others do the same, I’ve gained an abundance of knowledge about exercise, training and nutrition, I’ve crushed strength and physique barriers that I didn’t know I had the ability to; but let’s talk about what’s more important. I’ve inspired somebody, and that’s the most empowering feeling of them all. I’ve also gained a Passion, in which I chase with Pride, while finally living with a Purpose. I want to share all of this with as many people as I can and help each and every person I encounter surpass the same barriers that once held me back.
