On today’s episode we had Brooke Alpert on the show. Brooke is a dietitian and has had a private practice in NYC for the last 15 years. Her husband suffers from autoimmune peripheral neuropathy and after she exhausted every diet under the sun with him (Hello Wahls Protocol and more!) he asked for her to step down as his doctor and just be his wife.

Around this time Brooke started hearing about CBD and heard how it could be effective for pain management – since he’s “cannabis friendly” which is a polite way of saying pothead, he was up for trying it.

Long story short – he had incredible improvements on CBD so she started researching more. When she saw the connection with CBD and anxiety, she brought it into her practice for some of her emotional eaters and saw a big improvement with them as well. She ended up hitting the books and spent 6 months studying and researching cannabis and became a certified holistic cannabis practitioner.

While she was studying, she really fell in love with CBD and the more she learned, the more she realized that CBD is the ultimate wellness vitamin. When she couldn’t find a product that fit her criteria, she decided to create her own and that’s how Daily Habit was born.
